Andy was less than a year old when I created this website in 2008. My plan was to regularly add new content, but that never happened due to my demanding job at a Silicon Valley tech startup and Andy’s clear preference for a game of tug over me sitting at the computer.
Andy was exceptionally intelligent, but several health issues prevented us from pursuing any serious training. Over the years, he developed a deep love for water, happily swimming in our pool or - better yet - in the ocean at Carmel-by-the-Sea. For many years he came with me to the office, where he found an endless supply of playmates to keep him entertained all day. In his later years, walking long distances became difficult, but that never dimmed his spirit - he simply loved his doggy stroller rides. Andy passed away on August 26, 2021, at the age of 13 years, 9 months, and 20 days... Here is his picture gallery
